Shame to leave Loch Maddy without exploring the area, but we really are short of gas and cannot get any here. The helpful ladies in the tourist information office gave us a contact near Tarbert who can apparently supply Camping Gas. They also told us of various interesting places to visit near Loch Maddy but they will have to wait for another day.
Long beat (quite biased) in F4 with warm sun, so we could not complain, and made good progress with some favourable tide. Saw dolphins (common dolphins). Some came past and went away again. Some stayed with us for 10 minutes or more, riding along under and ahead of the bow
We anchored near the ferry pier. Tomorrow we will get the gas, do some shopping and then move to Scalpay North Harbour which is more sheltered as strong winds are expected on Friday and Saturday.
